Monica Cruz

Mónica was born in Madrid, in a family of artists. Sister of actress Penélope Cruz and singer Eduardo Cruz. Since she was young she knew that dance will be her passion and then she started her dancer career in the Real Conservatorio de Danza. Later she worked with Joaquin Cortés dance crew, where she got her first TV role at “Un Paso Adelante”. Later she joined pop act UPA Dance who sold more than 700.000 copies. This success launched Mónica’s career internationally and helped her to star on the hit movies “The Inquiry” and “Ástérix and the Olimpic Games”. She also has worked in other films like “Last Hour”, “Camino flamenco” and “Caminando”. Her last job as an actress was in famous Spanish tv serie “Águila Roja”. Mónica and her sister Pénelope have formed a creative team designing clothes, jewels and accessories for brands like Mango, Loewe, Charles Vogele, Samantha Travasa and Carpisa. Nowadays the Cruz’s sisters have designed they own lingerie collection for Agent Provacateur called L’Agent. Every launch of each L’Agent campaign has been a media event. In this project they had been responsible of creative process, design, promotional films realization and performance. Mónica is also an style icon and stars a lot of editorials in fashion magazines with well-known photographers.
