Jon Kortajarena was discovered as a model in 2003. Shortly after he moved to New York and worked with some of the most prestigious photographers in the world: Peter Lindbergh, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel, Mert and Marcus, Stephen Klein or Inez and Vinoodh. During all this time Jon has became an indispensable to the biggest names in fashion such as Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Giorgio Armani or Chanel. Terry Richardson photographed him for Tom Ford, leading to a solid professional relationship between Jon and the American designer. After nine seasons participating in a large number of his projects we can now say that Jon Kortajarena became Ford’s fetish. Also he has featured in the covers of magazines such as GQ, Vogue, V Man, L’Officiel Hommes, Elle Man or Marie Claire to mention some.
Jon has won numerous awards in Germany, Italy, France, the United States and Spain. He was chosen by Forbes as one of the 10 most influential models in the world. He debuted as an actor in the Oscar-nominated film ‘A Single Man’. Kortajarena shared the screen with Colin Firth (who wons the best actor award at the Venice Film Festival) and Julianne Moore. Later he appeared in the controversial music video for Madonna’s ‘Girl Gone Wild’, and David Yurman jewelry ad with Kate Moss.
In recent seasons, Jon has starred worldwide campaigns for brands such as Hugo Boss, H & M, 7 For All Mankind, Carolina Herrera 212 Vip perfume and has recently been released as the image in the campaigns for the fragrances from Bulgari: the succesful Aqva pour homme and the brand’s big bet: Aqva Amara, both photographed by Mario Sorrenti. In parallel to these projects and others that will be revealed soon, Jon continues making progress in his training as an actor, learning in the hands of teachers in Madrid, New York and Los Angeles.
