Jon Kortajarena has recently been named the fourth best male model of all times by the prestigious magazine Vogue America. This acknowledgement is not random considering that since he was discovered as a model in 2003 he has not stopped working with the most distinguished photographers of the world like: Peter Lindbergh, MarioTestino, Steven Meisel, Mert and Marcus, Stephen Klein, and Inez and Vinoodh. Throughout the years Jon has become imperative to the biggest names of fashion forming part of campaigns of various brands like Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Giorgio Armani, and Chanel. When Terry Richardson photographed him for Tom Ford, it lead to a solid professional relationship between Jon and the American designer. After nine seasons participating in a large number of his projects we can now say that Jon Kortajarena became Ford’s fetish. He has also featured in covers of magazines such as GQ, Vogue, V Man, L’Officiel Hommes, Elle Man, Marie Claire, among others. Jon has won numerous fashion awards in Germany, Italy, France, the United States and Spain. He was chosen by Forbes as one of the 10 most influential models in the world. Then, he debuted as an actor in the Oscar-nominated film ‘A Single Man’. Kortajarena also shared the screen with award winning actors Colin Firth (who wons the best actor award at the Venice Film Festival) and Julianne Moore. Later, he appeared in the controversial music video for Madonna’s ‘Girl Gone Wild’, and in David Yurman´s jewelry ad with Kate Moss. In the last seasons, Jon has starred in worldwide campaigns for brands such as Hugo Boss, H&M, 7 For All Mankind, Carolina Herrera 212 VIP perfume and has been recently become the image of Bulgari fragances` campaigns such as; the succesful Aqva pour homme, and the brand’s big bet, Aqva Amara; both photographed by Mario Sorrenti. At the same time Jon continues to make progress as an actor. Soon we will see him in the big screen in the science fiction movie “Andron” with co-stars Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover.
